"The president is stuck at a politically unhealthy level for someone who wants to be re-elected. His standing with the American people is obviously closely related to their views of the economy," Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

"The fact that voters are unsure whether the economy will improve if he is re-elected is not a good sign for Obama," Brown said.

  • Obama's approval rating in West Virginia fell from 32% in September to 28% on our October poll conducted right before last week's election. He barely even has plurality approval from Democrats at 45/44 and support from independents (16/69) and Republicans (5/91) is virtually nonexistent.

Solving the problem will not be easy. The United States has been on a buy it now pay later program for so long that we as a nation will have a hard row to hoe, when it comes to changing the way we do things in Washington D.C.

    But CHANGE we must.

    Now the big questions..

How did the debt problem get to be so big? By habit and circumstance.

The federal government has typically spent more than it collects in taxes. In fact, it has run deficits for all but 12 years since 1934.

But debt started to accrue much more rapidly in the past decade because of several rounds of tax cuts, the war on terrorism, and a Medicare prescription drug benefit -- all of which were financed through borrowing.

Then, in 2008, a gob-smacking financial crisis spurred a lot more spending to stem the pain of the downturn. That recent surge is so-called "cyclical" debt -- meaning it will stop accruing once the economy recovers.

What worries budget experts far more is the "structural" debt -- the kind that will keep growing even when the economy is strong. The gap between money in and money out will persist largely because of long-anticipated demographic changes such as the aging of the population. And borrowing to fill that gap could become much more expensive than it has been.

Politicians know they will get more votes when they give constituents what they want. For years, that meant bringing home the bacon rather than trimming the fat. And it meant not asking constituents to pay for expensive policies.

More recently, to score political points, many on the right have demonized any suggestion that higher revenue be part of the debt solution. And many on the left have sworn that Medicare and Social Security must not be cut in any way.

And with the ascendance of the Tea Party and the destructive debt ceiling debate, many lawmakers have espoused unyielding and often impractical fiscal positions, making a compromise on serious debt reduction difficult to achieve.

    http://money.cnn.com/2011/09/05/news/economy/national_debt_faq/index.htm?iid=EL

But, let's give credit where credit is due.. The Corporatist and Lobbyists have for years bought and paid for the re-election of incumbents.

The TEA-PARTY, love them or hate them have caused the rest of AMERICA to become aware of the problem with the nations run away spending habits.  There will be  more TEA-Party  affiliated representatives elected in 2012. Because the Tea-Party is the middle class, those that have worked in the factories and shipyards that have long since closed.

And they are the new independent voter!

    No Super committee needed..

Tasked with slashing another $1.5 trillion in debt over the next 10 years, the committee was created with no built-in provisions for public meetings, hearings or lobbying disclosures.

The stakes are enormous. The committee is likely to consider more cuts to discretionary spending, as well as limitations to defense spending and health care costs. The tax code and entitlement programs will come under scrutiny.

If the committee process fails to produce a debt reduction plan, as much as $1.2 trillion in across-the-board cuts would kick in -- evenly divided between defense and non-defense spending.

"To not have the public involved in decisions of this magnitude would be a disgrace," said John Wonderlich, policy director at the Sunlight Foundation, a group that promotes open government.

If the recent past is any indication, full transparency might not be in the cards.

    http://money.cnn.com/2011/08/17/news/economy/debt_negotiations_secret/index.htm?iid=EAL

The American people were not involved in the spending… So why are they worried,  Oh Yeah, to make it look good for their friends that are lobbying… It’s the Lobbyists that are worried.

What the American People need to do is take away the $ from Congress, the Senate and Every President from now on.

Shut down the Fed and have these REPRESENTATIVES come to the people BEFORE they involve the United States in WARS in Foreign LANDS.

Make Managing the country.. Just that. We say what we will give the government and they manage what we allow them to have.

How you may ask…HOW do we take the bank account away from Congress , Senate, and President?

SIMPLE…. A Constitutional Convention making the Offices of President, Senate, and Congress  all management positions.

"Most of the deficit reduction negotiations this year have taken place behind closed doors and none of it has gone beyond Washington horse-trading to engage the public in any meaningful way," Robert Bixby, executive director of the Concord Coalition, a deficit watchdog group, wrote in a blog post.

Advocates for a closed process contend that a public discussion of sensitive issues makes it much easier for a deal to collapse as special interest groups are allowed to mobilize against the proposal.

"That has not proved successful. That approach has been tried and it failed," Bixby said. "If you are in on the landing, you have to be in on the takeoff."

Part of the consternation among transparency advocates stems from the unique rules set up for the committee. Once seven members of the committee agree on a plan, the bill will be rushed through the House and Senate under a special procedure.

No amendments will be considered. It's take it -- or leave it.

Oh, and think of the behind-the-scenes lobbying! Instead of seeking to influence 535 members of Congress, Washington's well practiced lobbying machine will be able to focus on only 12 members.

"We expect a feeding frenzy," Wonderlich said. "To try and get in and meet with those 12 people will be near impossible for the next few months."

One anonymous Democratic lobbyist already told Politico that he was "preparing by writing 12 really large checks."

    http://money.cnn.com/2011/08/17/news/economy/debt_negotiations_secret/index.htm?iid=EAL

THIS is not the type of representation We are guaranteed  in the Constitution..

THE UNITED STATES is supposed to be a Citizen run government… Not Corporate or Lobbyists run government.

And calling A committee after the open SIMPSON / BOWLES Committee is not a leadership move.

  • If Republicans win both contests, it would raise fresh concerns about President Obama's drag on down-ballot Democrats and the party’s ability to keep its Senate majority. The losses would also raise questions about whether the party can gain the 24 seats it needs to regain the House.

In the last week, the race for former Rep. Anthony Weiner's seat has given Democrats the biggest headache. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee late last week poured in $500,000 in a last-gasp attempt to hang onto a seat that has been in Democratic hands for decades. Before Weiner represented the Queens — and Brooklyn-based district, it was the home turf of now — Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.

"The Democrats have no results to run on, they have no plans that are working. The president doesn't have any plans that are working; he's broken a lot of promises. All they have left, Greta, is name-calling to try and intimidate those that might associate with the Tea Party. ... They have taken the race card to a new low," Cain said to Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren on Wednesday.

The former CEO of Godfather's Pizza was responding to Rep. André Carson's (D-Ind.) recent remarks about the Tea Party. At a town-hall meeting Carson said that Tea Party-affiliated members of Congress see African-Americans as "second-class citizens" and would be happy to see blacks "hanging from a tree."

Cain called those comments were "disgusting" and "despicable."

To understand Paul's appeal, the Republicans must stop and take some time to think about what it is like for enlisted troops right now. We are in uncharted territory, because the United States has never been at war for this long, and the war is being conducted as conventional operations with an all-volunteer army. The goals have become increasingly vague for officers, and officers have become increasingly ineffectual at projecting clear objectives to the enlisted ranks. In other words, morale is depressed to low levels, to which past military engagements offer few useful comparisons.

But the soldiers themselves are also unlike the enlisted men and women of earlier ages. The number-one change: overwhelmingly, the young privates and specialists of today signed up to serve to get tuition for college. They plan to go to college and have elaborate educational dreams for themselves. They are not gung-ho patriots and are not hypersensitive about people criticizing their war effort. They are a new breed holding more in common with UCLA freshmen than with the Vietnam War veterans who haunt American Legion halls across the country.

Mr. President – we gave you $2.4 trillion in new spending and the American people got nothing in return,” the Minnesota Republican said. “Today’s jobs report showing that the economy created no jobs in the last month and unemployment at 9.1 percent is further evidence that President Obama’s failed economic policies are not working and have completely stalled job growth.”

Republicans slammed Mr. Obama after the Labor Department report on employment showed the U.S. failing to create a significant number of jobs. In its weakest jobs report in over 12 months, the Labor Department announced that the economy added no net jobs in August, while the nation’s 9.1 percent unemployment rate remained unchanged.

  • Story Photo

Economists were expecting employers to add between 70,000 and 90,000, a number that would have left the nation's unemployment rate at 9.1 percent -- but the nation's nonfarm payroll was flat. In July, at least, hiring had added 85,000 jobs.

"Net employment flat-lined in August," Ellen Zentner, a senior U.S. economist at Nomura Securities International Inc. in New York, who forecast a decline of 5,000, told Bloomberg. "When the outlook is uncertain, businesses don't hire. Calls that we're on the cusp of a recession or already there are not completely unwarranted."

Rep. Allen West, the only Republican member of the Congressional Black Caucus, threatened Wednesday to quit the group over what he called “racially motivated rhetoric” by fellow caucus members aimed at the tea party.

At a recent Congressional Black Caucus event in Miami, Rep. Andre Carson, a Democrat from Indiana, was videotaped telling the audience that, “some of them in Congress right now of this tea party movement would love to see you and me…hanging on a tree.”

West, a Republican representing South Florida – who is known to use inflammatory language of his own – took issue with that comment and with remarks made by Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) who recently said at an event in Inglewood, Calif., that “the tea party can go straight to hell.”

Princeton University economist Alan Krueger, who will replace Austan Goolsbee as the White House’s chief economic advisor, “is likely to provide a voice inside the administration for more-aggressive government action to bring down unemployment and, particularly, to address long-term joblessness,” according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

But will Krueger’s recommendations jive with the president’s apparent economic and political agenda? Krueger co-authored a paper for the Handbook of Public Economics in 2002 that seems to undercut the economic argument for extending unemployment benefits. The paper found that those benefits tend to increase the length of unemployment by discouraging the search for a new job, and may actually encourage layoffs. Conversely, the paper also found that unemployed persons who are ineligible for benefits search harder for a job and are therefore unemployed for less time.

Callers to the program confronted Perry with aggressive, statistic-filled queries about his support of an anti-cancer vaccine, his push for toll roads, conspiracy theories about a Nafta superhighway and a pan-American currency, and his attendance at a meeting of the Bilderberg Group.

On the Gardasil vaccine, he gave the impression he long ago realized his error, even though his conversion is a recent development, as the Texas Tribune documented.

“Perry has a unique talent for finding new ways to raise taxes and loves to use taxpayer money to subsidize his business cronies. His supposed belief in limited government and states['] rights conveniently disappears whenever it conflicts with the demands of the special interests and corporate cronies ... he serves.” Nalle reported that the RLC is compiling a dossier on Perry to show Republicans outside the state the real Rick Perry.

As an example of how Perry’s rhetoric doesn't match his record, Nalle pointed to his “business slush funds.” Naming the Texas Enterprise Fund and the Texas Emerging Growth Fund, Nalle observed that although over $700 million has been used to incentivize businesses to move to Texas, many of those companies have not delivered the number of jobs promised. Perry even worked to craft amendments to the contracts of those not meeting the terms, so that they would not be in violation. Notably, some 18 recipient corporations — including giant Hewlett Packard — have been donors to Perry’s campaigns.

I was nauseated and dismayed to also discover G.E. received $140 billion in T.A.R.P. Funds (Troubled Asset Relief Program) and was bailed out by the American taxpayer, only to show their gratitude, by shipping hundreds of high paying U.S. jobs to China. G.E. doesn't pay any income tax either. This is hypocrisy and politics as usual. To use a word from Gov. Perry of Texas, “This borders on treason.”

n 2011, Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of GE and the chairman of President Obama’s “Jobs Council” is eliminating jobs for American employees of GE at a furious pace. To add insult to injury, in 2010 GE paid no federal taxes at all despite worldwide profits of $14.2 billion. GE claimed a tax benefit of $2.3 billion.

From an America corporate icon to an American disgrace, GE epitomizes how federal policies, cronyism, and rent seeking is destroying America from within by avoiding taxes and shipping jobs overseas. Keep in mind, none of this is illegal. It is, however, unconscionable.

A recent article at TheEconomicCollapseBlog.com took a look at the way GE is “moving jobs and economic infrastructure to China at a blistering pace.” For example, “GE makes more medical-imaging machines than anyone else in the world and now GE has announced that it is ‘moving the headquarters of its 115-year-old X-ray business to Beijing.”

The article notes that, “Under Immelt, GE has shipped tens of thousands of good jobs out of the United States.” Even the liberal learning Huffington Post reported that “As the administration struggles to prod businesses to create jobs at home, GE has been busy sending them abroad. Since Immelt took over in 2001, GE has shed 34,000 jobs in the U.S. according to its most recent annual filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. But it has added 25,000 jobs overseas.”

  • Story Photo

Immelt and GE have come under fire in recent days after The Washington Post reported the company is solidifying a deal to deliver aerospace technology — developed partly by NASA — to Chinese engineers in return for a foot in the door to China's emerging airline market.

GE has said the deal is too lucrative to pass up, but critics contend it will put additional pressures on U.S. airline manufacturers, such as Boeing, at a time when those companies are providing valuable domestic jobs amid an unemployment crisis.

"American taxpayers subsidized the development of this advanced technology, but U.S. taxpayers’ investment will end up creating jobs in China," Kucinich said.

  • Story Photo

At some point anti-USA persons like Immelt should lose their US citizenship status and they should be forced to move to China if they pay no US taxes.

And Obama should be removed from office for what he has let GE get away with – these amount to acts of hostility to the US economy. And that is exactly how Obama and GE operate: they do whatever they want and whatever they can get away with.

“The Black Caucus loves the president, too. We’re supportive of the president. But we’re getting tired, though … What we want to do is give the president every opportunity to show what he can do and what he’s prepared to lead on,” she said, “but our people are hurting; the unemployment is unconscionable. We don’t know what the strategy is.”

n addition to the loss of generating capacity, the Commerce Department estimates that the new rules could kill up to 60,000 jobs, says Heritage, while an industry trade group says that the rules will cost $129 billion, according to the Washington Post.

During the 2008 presidential campaign then-Senators Barack Obama and Joe Biden both claimed that if elected they would institute policies that make it cost prohibitive for coal-fired plants to operate in the United States.

Looks like this is one promise they’ll keep.

So, Rick Perry, the guy who invests in porn, hates accessible healthcare for women, and who thinks that President Obama is evil believes he's more suited to be the President? Perhaps the candidate from Texas should talk to the folks he grew up with in Haskell County. Seems he's not too popular there these days. In fact, his former Boy Scout leader, Wallar Overton, 72, told the Huffington Post that he wouldn't be voting for Perry. Most in the town feel as though the governor has forgotten his roots. And they don't like it one bit.

So, Governor Goodhair now has a new nickname: Perry the Porn Guy. Lovely.

When running for Lieutenant Governor, Rick Perry combined his publicly traded stocks into a blind trust—Perry Blind Trust, Inc. FN3. Thus, Perry’s subsequent Personal Financial Statements reveal little about his stock holdings. FN4. However, Perry’s 1995 Personal Financial Statement—the final revealing record of Perry’s assets—shows that he invested in thirty-two stocks, including Movie Gallery, Inc. FN5. While the precise amount of the investment is not revealed, Perry listed the stock in category “B”—meaning that the stock was worth between five and ten thousand dollars. FN6. Most of Perry’s stock fell into the class “B” category. FN7

Based in Dothan, Alabama, Movie Gallery boasts being the second largest North American home-entertainment specialty retailer after Blockbuster; Movie Gallery has more than 4700 stores located in all fifty states, Mexico, and Canada. FN8. Movie Gallery is also both the largest distributor of pornography in America and the only major retail chain to sell pornography in its flagship stores. FN9.

As reported in Forbes, Movie Gallery possesses a winning business model, which has allowed it to acquire the much-larger franchise Hollywood Video. FN10. Forbes reports that pornography increases Movie Gallery’s profits enough to lowball the prices on regular, non-pornographic rentals. FN11. Pornography is a unique product that many stores are reluctant to sell. Movie Gallery’s practices have forced small, locally owned rental chains out of business. FN12.

We need American Corporations.... but we need to close all the tax loopholes and fix the draconian tax system that we have in America.

The Fed needs to be Audited.. The Government also needs changes so that everyone with exclusion of Corporate lobbyists are heard.

It's time to take bake the credit card and make this country work again.

First we need jobs.. So take the Corporate Tax on Corporations down to 15% on Profits....With no write offs.. Like Switzerland.

Second we need to punish those who left the U.S. when they return by having them pay a 5% additional tax each year for every year that they were a foreign corporation..with no deductions.

Close all U.S. TAX Loop holes, and promote business and manufacturing....

When President Obama threatened to clamp down on tax dodging, many companies decided to leave the Caribbean, but as we first told you in March, instead of coming back home, they went to safer havens like Switzerland.

Several of these companies came to a small, quaint medieval town in Switzerland called Zug.  The population of the town of Zug is 26,000; the number of companies in the area is 30,000 and growing at an average rate of 800 a year. But many are no more than mailboxes.

    WATCH this.

We were the economic engine of the world for years.... Now where are we?

It's time to take away the credit card, and the car keys from the Morons in Washington...

Get them off Vacation, take away their retirement pensions as we all have lost ours and get AMERICA back on track.

  • Manufacturing continues to push the German economy.. Why not us....

Manufacturing Continues to push the Chinese and Asian Economy.... Why not US?

US used to make the best....of everything...US had the best technical, best leadership, best motivators, best industries, best made engines and the best fuel economy for the best cars and it all provided for us very well.

US had so much that we could afford to give it away.... and we did... It's what made us great. We had enough to share.

    But then ....

US created what is now known as the World Economy.....  US had the best teachers, the best Medical, and the best Armed Forces.

NOW US is about to become obsolete... Because of us, we have been brought down by greed, softness, lack of interest and lost values.

US can't motivate us anymore.... US gave up the right to that, now we rely on what US is told by those of US in the KNOW.

    JUST LOOK AT US!

Anyone could run in 2012 and beat Obama.

Look at his record.. Look at his promises.... Look at what got him into the White House, and look at what he has done in the 2.5 years he has been in OFFICE.

This is the reason that the GOP is so crowded...  Anyone that wins...with the exception of ROMNEY who was the Chosen Corporatist Candidate that won't win the nomination because he was the next in line.

The smoke filled rooms and back room deals won't get someone like Romney through the Primary...

He isn't a fighter... he ain't Ron Paul, or Herman Cain, or even Bachman.     And let's face it he can not connect to the working man and woman. He has a real problem with his beliefs and message. They don't reflect America's beliefs and the message that Americans want the President to represent them with.

Romney's Message and track record is  the same as Obama's... a failed (state) economic policy, a failed border policy, a failed healthcare plan, broken promises and elitist attitude.

I know, I know... The Press loves the little grease ball.... But he can't debate, he has nothing connecting him to the people and he has no specifics.  Bachman beats him on the economy, Paul beats them all on the fight for liberty and Cain has more experience in Business Operations than Romney....

This GOP has the Independent vote.. a lot of new independents who have bolted the Democratic party.

The GOP has the Tea Party, who like those that have bolted from the REGRESSIVE  Democratic Party have a lot in common.

They want JOBS, a Home, And a free America where Americans are first  not after the illegals, or billions paid in foreign aid.

It's real America that needs the help...

Watch the PRESS attempt to push all the candidates out of the GOP Race except Romney......  It will backfire!

The people will vote and win.

THIS IS NOT your Fathers GOP.

Television Media has controlled the people's actions since the late 1960's when Journalism was taken over by the liberals graduating from UBER leftist, rich, northeastern schools.....Displacing true Huntley-Brinkley journalism with left wing rhetoric and Madison Avenue cliche's which became what we know today as "Soundbites."

    I am gross and perverted
    Im obsessed n deranged
    I have existed for years
    But very little had changed
I am the tool of the government
    And industry too
For I am destined to rule
    And regulate you

T.V. News as we know it today is after the elusive rating point and could care if the truth was told, as long as it produces the effect of surprise, entertain, and control of the viewer. News is not news and we are not in Kansas anymore.

I may be vile and pernicious
    But you can't look away
I make you think Im delicious
With the stuff that I say
I am the best you can get
    Have you guessed me yet?

The recent CHAOS produced by the non existent August 2,2011 deadline to have a debt ceiling increase is a great example of how the Television Media took control of Markets, Peoples buying habits, Congress, and the economy.

Look at the giants that control what we watch and when we watch it. Look who controlled the debate in Washington, what was reported and what spin was placed where to cause more economic mess.

Those who own the media can MANDATE and control what is happening in America and throughout the world.

You will obey me while I lead you
And eat the garbage that I feed you
Until the day that we don't need you
Don't got for help...no one will heed you
    Your mind is totally controlled
It has been stuffed into my mold
And you will do as you are told
Until the rights to you are sold

My question is, what would happen if we turned the Televisions off for a week in protest?

What would happen come ratings week if we all picked up a good book and ignored all T.V. entertainment, news, and those  big old stinking special reports ? Could you do this? Would you do this?

Or does the slime from your T.V. set control you that much?

That's right, folks..   Don't touch that dial!

  • "You cannot be the leader of the free world and sit on the sidelines and tweet and think you're going to get the job done," he said on "Fox News Sunday."

McCarthy criticized the president after being asked about the performance of his own party's leader, House Speaker John Boehner. Boehner had to calm a revolt in his own caucus last week in order to narrowly approve a bill that would cut the deficit and raise the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling.

With a new compromise emerging which would roll back some of those provisions, Boehner could be compelled to seek Democratic support in the House. Asked whether that scenario could imperil his speakership, McCarthy said that Boehner has performed as a "leader" all along, insisting on significant spending cuts.

"We have been out front negotiating, "McCarthy said.

    The Country has no PLAN!

The COUNTRY has NO LEADERSHIP......... IN EITHER HOUSE... We have been watching for months as one deadline approaches and then passes, another deadline approaches and passes, and another.... and NOTHING HAPPENS!

THERE IS NO LEADERSHIP IN WASHINGTON D.C.

    ?

You voted in President Obama, and he can't even rein in his own party to fix the debt ceiling. Americans were fooled thinking this man was going to change things around. Well he's done that!

The country is about to get huge tax increases and job losses, and the only ways Democrats can remedy that is to cut seniors' Medicare, cut the military budget and hurt poor, working families. Those billionaires and oil executives making money hand over hand should have their big tax breaks taken away. Let them feel the crunch also.

2012 is coming...... I am one of the many re-registered INDEPENDENT voters who now out number one of the TWO major parties in the U.S.                                                             There will  be a change we can believe in coming.

There are few today that measure up to Bob Schieffer on Face the nation. Today he again hit the proverbial nail squarely on the head.

It has taken a while but we have finally done it. We have created a Congress incapable of doing what it was supposed to do, and that is improve the lives of its citizens. It's as if Detroit made a car with a fine radio and piercing headlights and comfortable, beautiful seats but a car that couldn't do what it was created to do, and that is move forward. Here's how it happened. The cottage industry that has grown up around Congress - the consultants, the commercial makers, the pollsters - has made the cost of running for office prohibitive.

So those who do run must spend nearly all of their day calling people and begging for money. It takes an overwhelming ambition to be in office to be willing to do that. Most people want no part of such a life, So the talent pool of candidates has shrunk to not-bad people, but not always the same kind of people who used to run for office. Even worse, in order to raise the vast sums needed, a candidate must sign off with so many special interest groups before getting to Washington that, once here, their positions are already set in stone. They can't compromise on ANYTHING.

So we have what we have: A legislative body unable to reach agreement on anything. The founders forged both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution through ingenious compromises - ingenious compromises AND courage. Today, compromise is no longer seen as a virtue but as selling out; and political courage ... well, it's given way to schemes to raise the money needed for the next election.

So we keep asking, is the system broken? The short answer is yes. The larger question: Can it be repaired? Not without a large injection of political courage. Right now, I don't see very much of that.

What MAin stream American Media fails to get is that people like Schieffer are the last of the true journalists.. They dig for the truth and tell it like they see it.

Bob Schieffer never smirks, never tips his hand as to say, "I am with you, or Against you."  He just goes after the story like a bull dog after a piece of steak.

I detest the spin put on by the different national media outlets, I love being involved with politics and the nation, and

I can always trust Bob Schieffer to get the story and forget the spin.

Bob Schieffer....one of the last true AMERICAN Journalists!

This was passed along to me by a neighbor, so I thought I would share...

An old West Virginia Hillbilly saying: You cannot get the water to clear up until you get the pigs out of the creek.

*SOME OF YOU MAY APPRECIATE THIS AND SOME OF YOU MAY NOT.*

*I DO NOT APOLOGIZE,  BECAUSE OF IT'S TRUTH.*

*If any other of our presidents had doubled the national debt in one year, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, would you have approved?*

*If any other of our presidents had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved? *

*If any other of our presidents had criticized a state law that he admitted he never even read, would you think that he is just an ignorant hot head? *

*If any other of our presidents joined the country of Mexico and sued a state in the United States to force that state to continue to allow illegal immigration, would you question his patriotism and wonder who's side he was on? *

*If any other of our presidents had pronounced the Marine Corps like Marine Corpse, would you think him an idiot? *

*If any other of our presidents had put 87,000 workers out of work by arbitrarily placing a moratorium on offshore oil drilling on companies that have one of the best safety records of any industry because one foreign company had an accident, would you have agreed? *

*If any other of our presidents had used a forged document as the basis of the moratorium that would render 87000 American workers unemployed would you support him? *

*If any other of our presidents had been the first President to need a Teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes? *

*If any other of our presidents had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take his First Lady to a play in NYC, would you have approved? *

*If any other of our presidents had reduced your retirement plan holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved? *

*If any other of our presidents had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved? *

*If any other of our presidents had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved? *

*If any other of our presidents had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought it a proud moment for America ? *

*If any other of our presidents had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia would you have approved? *

*If any other of our presidents had visited Austria and made reference to the nonexistent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip? *

*If any other of our presidents had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes,   would you have approved? *

*If any other of our presidents had stated that there were 57 states in the United States , wouldn't you have had second thoughts about his capabilities? *

*If any other of our presidents would have flown all the way to Denmark to make a five minute speech about how the Olympics would benefit him walking out his front door in his home town, would you not have thought he was a self-important, conceited, egotistical jerk. *

*If any other of our presidents had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, wouldn't you have winced in embarrassment? *

*If any other of our presidents had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?*

*If any other of our presidents' administrations had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown  Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11? *

*If any other of our presidents had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America , would you have ever approved. *

*If any other of our presidents had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved? *

*So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? *

*Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 24 months -- so you have that much time to come up with an answer.*

*Every statement and action  is factual and directly attributable to Barrack H Obama. Every bumble is a matter of record and completely verifiable. *

AND NOW, HE ACTUALLY WANTS US TO RE-ELECT HIM. HA WAKE UP AMERICA 2012 IS UPON US.

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is holding two campaign events in Iowa today and later this month his son, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, will make a two-day swing through the state as the campaign tries to build momentum for the Iowa GOP’s Straw Poll in Ames on August 13th.

“We both believe strongly that the constitution is the law of the land and should be followed,” Senator Paul said this past April during an interview with Radio Iowa.

Ron Paul is considered by some to be a sort of godfather of the Tea Party movement and the younger Paul wrote a book about the Tea Party.

Republican Presidential Candidate Ron Paul announced early this morning on his official campaign 2012 Facebook page that he has raised $4.5 million in the 2nd fiscal quarter of 2011 which ended at midnight Thursday.

The post read: “We have raised $4.5 Million in the 2nd fiscal quarter of 2011! We are making history once again. Never in our lifetimes have we seen such a grassroots movement for individual liberty, sound money and non-interventionism. It's time to END THE FED!”

During the discussion between Paul and Wallace, Wallace pushed even further by bringing up a 1937 Supreme Court case (Helvering v. Davis) in which the court decided that Social Security was allowed under Article 1 Section 8. The fallacy of this argument is the assumption that the Supreme Court was correct in their interpretation. Based on the orginal intent of the founders, it does not appear that they were correct at all. Paul rightfully points out by analogy, that slavery was legal up to a point where it was realized by enough people that slavery is wrong, which as we all know led to the favorable abolition of slavery.

My hope is that enough people will read this, digest it, and come to the same conclusion that we've been doing it wrong for years.

Congressman Paul, who surprised supporters by raising a remarkable amount of donations and impressively passionate support, mostly through an online network of committed volunteers, has seen his limited-government/non-interventionism foreign policy message proliferate and take on a life of its own through the 2010 mid-terms that brought the GOP back into power in the House and narrowed the Democratic lead in the Senate.
